Grab Some Peanuts and Head to the Park

Friday the WSU Men's baseball team will have its first season home game at 3:30 on Bailey-Brayton Field. This weekend they will play three home games, with the second on Saturday and the third on Sunday. Expect to see many sorority members in the audience due to a program called Adopt-a-Coug.

This program was created by the athletic department to get more involvement and increase a following for cougar baseball. All sororities are invited to adopt as many players as they want, with most adopting three or four players. The players are invited to a dinner to get to know their biggest fans. The sororities get points for attending games, making posters, and bringing goody bags for the players. The house with the most points at the end of the season gets a dinner with the entire team and a check towards their chapter's philanthropy.

Cougar baseball is having an event on moms weekend where if you bring your mom to the game she receives a free t shirt. You can also nominate your mom to throw the first pitch by filling out a short application.
